One of my last posts was about a science magazine I’ve just signed up for. Some articles are really really good, like this one on how we were right futurizing about drones and self-driving cars but forgot about women’s emancipation.
But this one, this interview with a philosopher and ethics professor in Oxford, Julian Savulescu, it left me in a state no interview or article has ever left before. Awe, wtf?, hmm, and other three letter words. It is a discussion about the means to reach the ends, about the new questions that will arise and that we must think of, and about the old dangers inherent to the changes the future will bring.

I found this vimeo channel by chance, and absolutely love it. The poetry of perception series uses great animations voiced over by Walt Whitman’s Song of Myself.
I believe in the flesh and the appetites,
Seeing, hearing, feeling, are miracles, and each part and tag
of me is a miracle.
Divine am I inside and out, and I make holy whatever I touch
or am touch’d from,
The scent of these arm-pits aroma finer than prayer,
This head more than churches, bibles, and all the creeds.
If I worship one thing more than another it shall be the spread
of my own body, or any part of it.
